"It's been a hard day's night . . ."

" . . .and I've been working like a dog."

*ahem* We are just going to pretend the past 6 months didn't happen. Done. Welcome to February, blog. (Not that the past six months were bad or anything.. however I feel as if I have neglected you, and that makes me sad. Anyway, all I did was live at the bar.) So what exactly has February consisted of so far? I live at the bar even more often, and I have a full time job outside of class and my eight hours at the math workshop (also my present location).

Well, I suppose I can't ignore the past six months altogether.. some highlights:

  • Fall break in Florida with Sarah- Went to the Bengals v. Bucs game, were wasted by 1 pm with my family, upset about the loss, but had a great vacation!
  • Becoming family at the bar, and visiting over Christmas Break - Christmas Day included!
  • DRINKO!
  • "Look at that Armadilla!"
  • Oh New Years Eve . . . You SLAY me! Remind me to stop eating at Red Lobster.
  • Eating at Red Lobster, where Sarah's neighbors work. Love them!
  • My date with Lendl. HiLARious . . .
  • The death of the MAGSTR - poor car . . . you were good to me. "Everyone wants a ride in the MAGSTR"
  • All those Grad School applications . . . barf.
  • Getting accepted to Grad School with full tuition and healthcare coverage, pluse $2000/mo. stipend . . . yowza!
  • Oh Ollie's Bargain Outlet ( . . . "Good Stuff Cheap") . . . I will grow to loathe you.

Anyway.. what does the future hold?
Well, immediately, I have two tests tomorrow (Finance and Operations) that I haven't studied for or made the cheat sheets for, however I am at work 'til 9 and will be going to the bar after that.

What about Spring Break? Key West, baby!! I'M SO EXCITED! Pat and Brian are going as well.. should be a good time. 2.5 weeks and counting.

Summer? Who knows . . . either work at Meijer at home . . . or . . . *gasp* stay here with my new Ollie's family. Haha, it really is a lot of fun.

After Summer?? NORTH CAROLINA! Oh . . . My . . . God. Things are actually working out as I planned. That NEVER happens. I mean, basically getting PAID to go to school. Amazing . . . and Sarah and I will be getting an apartment down there. Unreal!!

    Man, I love my life.

    Peace out, homies.

“It's nice to be back, be with friends . . .

and it's the last year of school . . . hopefully it's the last year.” ~ David Wagner

Seems to me that throughout history, many people have had the same sentiments about college. It's nice to be back, but it's great that it's the last year. I'm a senior. That's so ridiculous I can hardly get my mind around it.

Oh yeah, and sorry I haven't updated in awhile. Things have been busy. And by busy, I mean CRAZY!

Summer was, overall, a blast. I threw numerous parties, all of which turned out great. It's also great to be 21 - the bar scene is amazing.

For details on this summer's escapades (of which there were MANY) just give me a ring, or stop on by my house, 910 Woodlawn.

Well, back to school . . . back to school . . . yeah, you know the rest. And this semester is going to be a bitch, but I refuse to let that get me down. Besides, the bar is constantly calling my name ;-)

I'm starting my diet again. Wish me luck. Gotta lose those summer beer pounds.

As for now, I must part, but now that I'm at school, I'll probably update more often, that is if I still have any readers.

    Direct from Florida...

    This just in.

Wow, it's been a long time. A month and a half. I'm 21 now guys. The countdown is over. Finally! And being 21 has officially made my life more exciting. Before that, summer was boring. I guess I need to share some stories.

Thursday, June 22: I bought $120 worth of liquor.. and didn't get carded. That kind of sucked in a way. lol. Oh well. Later that night Kelly and I went to Go Bananas Comedy Club where I got hit on by some old obnoxious fat guy.

fat guy: "Heeeey. how's it going?"
    me: "well thanks."
    fg: "sooo where ya from?"
    me: "here"
fg: "ah so you live in the comedy club? haha"me: (rolling eyes) "yeah... out back."

That and, when an opening act found out it was my birthday, asked if I had a boyfriend, and I said no.. fatguy says "heeeell yeah". Gross.

But it's okay, just one more experience for the books. Kelly and I went to the bar next door afterwards, Sneaky Pete's, to celebrate. It was a good time, and when we left (oh yeah.. mom was our D.D. haha) someone wished me a happy birthday.. obviously they remembered from the club. They could have bought me a drink though.. oh well.

From there we went to Zapps, a bar in Loveland.. incredibly shady, but I can see how it would be a good time. And that was it, my 21st birthday was over.

Friday, June 23rd: Oh god. This is when things get a little crazy. This was the day of my party. It turned out a lot better than I expected, but I should NOT have started drinking at 8, nor should I have taken shots with everyone that wanted me to drink with them. However, I believe it was a properly celebrated 21st. lol. Anyway, the night was crazy, that's all I can say, and there were dozens of people there, from both work and school. I was very surprised at the good turnout. Just thinking about it makes me smile. Oh if only I could share the whole story. Anyway, lets just leave it at that.. lots of people, lots of fun, lots of alcohol. If you weren't there, you missed out on a great time.

Saturday, June 24th: Erin stayed the weekend! So we went to St. Columban's festival and played blackjack once she got over her hangover. That was fun. Later that night we went bowling, and I drank for the first time, legally, while doing so. I did pretty well too. It was a nice low key night.

Sunday, June 25th: Well here's where it gets interesting..

Journal edit: Too much drama. Ask me if you want the story about why things got interesting

Monday, June 26th: I got up at 5 am, and left for Florida shortly thereafter. I'll be here til July 7th. Don't miss me too much!!

“Time flies like an arrow . . .

    fruit flies like a banana”

    Fuck.

I don't have enough time to write at the moment, but all I have to say is... fuck. It's been a long time since I've written, I know, but rightfully so. The past month hasn't exactly been fun.

    - I was in the hospital for a week
    - My car got broken into again
    - Mom's car got broken into, and her purse stolen
    - Exams, self explanatory
    - A lot of little shit.

So now that I'm home, and I have a little time to relax before I get back to work, I'm going to do just that. Relax. I think I deserve it.

"I know it's hard when you're up to your armpits in alligators . . .

to remember you came here to drain the swamp."

Oy vey, I always have the hardest time remembering to update this journal. I still have to finish telling you guys about Dublin. That is, if I can remember. So many things get in the way. I guess I'll just save the argument, the hospital, and the car stories for another day.

    Dublin
Day 3: We were told that all museums were closed on Mondays, so we wisely did not use our Dublin Pass but instead did a bit of our own sightseeing.. That is, after having to wake up early just to pack and carry our luggage downstairs to be stored until we could switch into a different room in the same hostel. Anyway, we hit the town and stopped by some churches, the post office and its bullet holes, and the garden of rememberance. Along the way we found a game place that was more like a casino.. and we won some money. Good times. We also decided to be a little adventurous and took a bus out to a random town on the coast, Howth. This turned out to be really cool. Seeing the water was awesome, and we also discovered Abbey Tavern, a well-known and really cool tavern along some winding side street. It was a pretty little town, and we stumbled along the hills into a really old and beautiful graveyard. After our sightseeing and half hour long wait for the bus back, Amy crashed on the bus and I just watched our surroundings. The countryside is gorgeous, even at night. We went back and took naps, and where did we end up that night? Why, Temple Bar of course. However, the place wasn't as hopping as normal, despite the awesome music. So we decided to walk the streets and try to find some place else to go. We ended up walking into some club/bar that was really lame, but they did have a breathalizer machine.. so Amy and I amused ourselves. Much to my amazemenet, after 5 drinks or so my BAC was still legal at .054.. awesome. :-D Well, we left the lame bar.. and headed once again to club M. We ran into some familiar faces and some new ones, but we quickly realized our coats and purses were going to be a hassle. So we went back to our hostel and dropped them off.. but before leaving, we decided to chug a bottle of wine. Grand idea. :-D Cheap, too. It was quite amusing. Everyone in our room was asleep except a group of American guys in the corner, who kept pretending to make sex noises while we were chugging our bottle in the dark.. and Amy and I, pretty damn drunk, couldn't help but crack up. Once finished, we headed back to the club, where we stayed for quite awhile. Amy made friends with a gay irish guy named Paul, and I meanwhile, slutted myself around as per usual.. I'd say it was a good time. Haha. Problems arose upon close though, when I had to fight all the guys off. And I'm not kidding. I was fending for myself in a room, or should i say on a street, full of boars.. or should i say drunken irish men (and one egyptian). It worked out though. I can take care of myself, seeing as Amy was preoccupied with the Russian who spoke no English, who I had encountered earlier. To each his own, right? Well I found myself a 'friend' and we 'hung out' in the rain for awhile. Amy, Russian, Me, friend. Then the Gaurda came flying up to where we were standing. I freaked. They pushed past us into the now empty/closed club.. we were fine, but that and the pouring rain made me finally pull Amy away, and we walked home, where we shared a post-coital cigarette with Sean, the cute American we ran into the night before outside out hostel. I was kidding about the post-coital part.

Day 4.. or maybe 5.. well, this happened atleast: Lunch somewhere. Who knows. But that was after transferring ourselves to our second hostel. Today we were using the Dublin Pass. We hopped a bus to where we thought we'd find the zoo, but turns out we had to walk another couple miles to get there. It was rainy. And cold. But the monkeys were cool. From there we walked back to the bus station.. and walked forever again to get to the Guiness Storehouse.. whose museum is entirely too long. Thank God for the free glass and free pint of guiness. We then headed to where we thought was St. Patrick's. Amy never trusted me to get us there. We eventually did get there. It just took a lot longer than anticipated. And was a lot farther away. I swear we walked atleast 10 miles that day.

Yeah.. it's all starting to blur together. But I'll just tell stories now. That'll do. Time for bed though. Until next time. Adios.

"I don't need to pay a therapist for crap.

I have a roommate that does it for free."

I haven't cried that much in a long time.

And I think I'm moving out. :-/ Alone.

    Don't get excited..

The first two nights of Dublin post is below this one. I'm just bored. And don't want to go to bed yet. So bear with me.

For now hath Time made me his numb'ring clock; My thoughts are minutes."

Hello there dear readers. Or probably just reader by now.. and that's myself. Yeah, I'm sorry. It honestly has been forever. Well maybe just a month. But that's definately forever in blog world. I henceforth PROMISE to make a more dilligent effort in updating on a regular basis, and maybe actually putting some personality into this damn thing. Eesh. Who knew this would be so much work.

My thighs are sore. It's 'cause I'm so sexed up. HAH. Right. The more likely cause of my burning muscles is step aerobics. HEY! No snickering. It's more intense than it sounds.. jerk.

Well I suppooooose that I can't really continue to call this a real blog until I recap the past month's happenings. Oh that's right. I went to Ireland. . and it was AMAZING!

Day 1: Saturday, March 4th. We got to the airport thinking our flight was at 12:30.. hahha.. more like 2:30. Wasted time by getting 10 minute manicures and getting sick of starbucks coffee. Flew to Atlanta. Wasted time by travelling from terminal to terminal looking for a decent dinner location. Flight to Dublin took off at 7 pm.

Day 2: Sunday, March 5th. Arrival in Dublin at 7:30 am, after maybe one hour of sleep and being disappointed by the promise for Harry Potter and the delivery of Italian Job as our inflight movie. Although they showed Goal! afterward, and that was good. He was hot. haha. Stood in line at the Dublin tourist desk for over an hour, waiting behind just ONE FUCKING INDECISIVE COUPLE. The line behind us was atleast 20 people. I'm glad we got there when we did. We bought bus and attraction passes. That was exciting. Left for the city!! (9:30 am) Dropped off in god knows where.. never been to Dublin before. Thank god for my natural skill with maneuvering through foreign cities. It was fun.. but squeezing into a tiiiny cafe for breakfast with gigantic backpacks on was kind of difficult. No worries. I didn't hurt anybody. After that, more walking.. and it was frigid.. BUT sunny. The only really sunny day we had there. We kept walking. And walking. And reached a park eventually, where we sufficiently wasted time. We were waiting for 12 pm, when Fridays would open and we could go celebrate Amy's birthday. Which we did. During which we got drunk. Off god damn 12 euro drinks, we'd better have gotten drunk. 3 pm. Head to hostel to get our room. Oh yeah. We had dropped our luggage off before walking so much. Anyway, get our room and meet a cool Canadian named Ted, who had been in Ireland for a year and gotten citizenship. He was pretty hippie-esque. Chill. Nap time. While we hear crazy people singing in the streets. Apparently that's what you do in Dublin. Sing drunk in the streets. Anywho. Ah, yes. We had bought wine earlier too.. 2 bottles for 10 Euro. Good deal. Good wine. That comes into play later in the week. Night falls.. we go eat Kebabs. Kind of like Gyros.. except.. different. Ask if you really need a description. Lets just say they're the magic drunk food of Dublin. Open 24 hrs. That and Rick's Burgers. After that, we finally mustered up enough courage to enter Temple Bar.. our first Irish pub. PACKED! It was insane. We were hit on by a group of 3 old Irish guys obsessed with American Idol and making fun of one of their friends yellow jumper (aka sweater). They bought us drinks. Then we left their table. Sitting at the bar, I was approached by a highly intoxicated German man. Who I so cleverly got to leave. Meanwhile, eyeing the room, I catch a glance from a group of guys across the way. We get bored, and decide to leave, and on the way out, one of the guys says "I'm sorry.. I'm shy".. atleast that's what I caught. His Scottish accent was so thick that's all I could understand. Anyway, this introduced us to a whole group of Scottish men to talk to. Who consequently bought us nuuuumerous drinks. God knows how many. But they were funny. And they all laughed at the guy who kept saying "I'm sorry.. I'm shy" over and over. Odd situation.. however I also accidently caught myself a fish.. that I didn't want.. one of these guys, poor thing, was head over heels for me. But this fish did take us to a nightclub where we got our dance on and our flirt on with maaaaaaany Irish guys. Quite the good night. With lots more free drinks. And guess what.. on the way back, we ran into a couple guys our age finally.. and we sang in the streets.. drunk. Right outside our hostel.

"You're jusssst togoood to be truuuuuue. Caan't take my eeeeeeyes off of yoooou. You'd be like heaven to TOUCH.. just wanna hoooold you SO MUCH... la da da daaaa da da da... and I thank goood I'm alive.. you're just tooogood to be truuuue. can't take my eeeeyes off of YOU! *stumble... laugh... dance* I LOVE YOU BAAABY.. and if it's quiiite alllright I need you BAAAAABY... la dada da daaaa da da da daaaaaaa da.... dadadada... dadaaa.... I need you baaaaby.. won't you come staaaay.. ohh.. pretty baaaby. now that i found you, STAY!.. and let me Love.. you.. ba..by... let me looooove yoooooooooooou!"

You have no idea how hard it was for us to remember what song it was we sang the next morning. I had an Epiphany 4 days later, and viola! There was the song. In my memory.

Anyway.. the night does NOT end there. After making out with like my 10th irish guy, I saw a nicely dressed young man sitting on the curb outside of our hostel, piss ass drunk. His friends were watching. But then they left. I felt bad, and sat down next to him to see if he was okay. He turned to me, shocked that i cared, and we had an awesome conversation! And around 4, we headed to... you guessed it.. get KEBABS! Magic drunk food. And apparently to Stephen, this guy, I'm the nicest person ever. Yeah, that's right. Better believe it.

So ends day 2. And I believe I shall continue my story another day. What a great trip. I will definately be going back.

Anyway, as for current shit.. nothing. Life's boring, besides stressing about the future.. and I'm not going to bother you with that now. Wait til advising week for me to vent. Chao!
